All-Inclusive Basketball Game
BE PART OF THE FUN!
The Marion-Crawford Prevention Program Youth Leadership group has organized a Countywide Inclusive basketball game and is looking for students to volunteer and get involved.
We need students of all abilities (including those with developmental disabilities and/or IEPs) to register to participate in the fun. All Ages. All Abilities.
Students can get involved in the following ways:
- Register to be a basketball player (40 spots – 20 per team rotating five players per 4 shortened quarters – the goal is a mix of ages and abilities on each team)
- Participate in 5-minute quarters with a 5-minute “educational moment” in between each quarter.
- Short intermission with band/cheer if we can get volunteers in this area
- Cheerleaders (also 40 spots – 20 per team, rotating five cheerleaders per team)
- Students can have the opportunity to sign up as fans – come dressed to cheer, facepaint and props may be rewarded
- Band members – those we serve and those on IEPs can participate in this area even without an instrument and sit with a buddy in the band, so if your student loves music, sign them up to be part of the band
