RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

Return to Services and Support Administration

Several options are available for individuals requesting residential services from Marion County DD.

  • Medicaid Waivers are available to pay for services so that an eligible individual with a disability can live in a home of his or her choosing instead of a long-term care facility or nursing home. Examples of waiver services include homemaker/personal care, transportation, environmental modifications, respite care, specialized medical equipment or supplies, and emergency response systems.
  • Supported Living services are funded through local tax dollars and include services received within the individual’s home.
  • Northland Homes and Properties is an organization that owns and manages 18 homes that enable people with disabilities to live in their own homes within the community and hire their own staff to assist them.
